Pack Everything!
I am among the people who make plans for my next trip ahead of time but always leave the most essential part, packing, for the last hours only. Conclusion: I usually forget the “little” important things, and then when I cannot spot them in their right place, I get agitated, and this spoils my mood before even the trips began, and now, I am worried if I will be lucky enough to get a spare charger on the flight.
Now, I started keeping the checklist, and once everything is checked, I am ready to board that flight.
The first and foremost thing to keep in sight as well as handy is PASSPORT or the bus tickets! These little things tend to hide perfectly when you are in a hurry, and often in such hurries, you will fail to spot them in the last place you have seen. Therefore, the best place to keep them is your handbag so that they don’t get lost in the corners of your suitcase.
When we are ready to leave for our trip, we often charge our phone 100%, and due to some unsaid reasons, we only take the phone with us, totally ignoring the charger! It is a blessing if we find the same charger with someone, but the same thing can become a curse too when you forget your phone’s life support. Also, keep power adaptors, earplugs with yourself so that you can enjoy your me-time on the trip without worrying about the phone’s battery. You can get lost in “vadeiyan” as well as in the lyrics of your favourite Arijit Singh.
Moreover, whether on a trip or not, you should keep yourself hydrated all the time. Do not forget to carry your water bottle where ever you go. It may sound silly to carry a water bottle around since water is available everywhere, but you cannot be sure of the safety of that water. Also, people who drink a lot of water know very well that it doesn’t taste the same everywhere! So, it’s best to keep those bottles within hands' reach.
Adding to the list, toiletries are also an imperative part of packing. These days most of the hotels provide up with these essentials, but keeping the best-case scenario in mind, you should at least have a toothbrush on yourself; asking for a charger may sound okay, but a toothbrush? Besides, Deodorant, hair conditioner, tampons, sunscreen, mosquito repellent should be marked checked on your list.
Also, some people might be on prescribed drugs, or some may have allergies, so, to avoid the worst and enjoy only the good parts of the trip, keep your medications within reach and have an extra strip in case you run out, you don’t want all swelled up due to your allergies on your trip. Also, vital medications for headache, vomit, painkillers should be in your health kit.
Moreover, India’s road architecture cannot be understood until date, and this is something not to be relied upon, so pack one pair of comfortable shoes with you. The road or sidewalks might be jagged, and you don’t want your feet hurting at the end of the day, so comfortable walking shoes are a must.
With coronavirus over our heads, Small bottles of hand sanitizing gel and tissue packets are automatically added to the list. Also, keep extra masks for safety. However, the list may go on and on for packing; you should know beforehand about your requirements and pack them accordingly.
Also, making a checklist of items if you tend to forget stuff can rescue you in times of need, and also, it is the easiest way to not forget your important stuff.
